How angler rankings are calculated
The total points accumulated by an angler on each day are pro rated against the maximum individual points scored on that day. This factor is multiplied by the pro ration of the total daily points scored by all anglers against the total points scored over the duration of the competition by all anglers. This total is then multiplied by 100 to get a daily rank point for each angler.
For a competition fished over 4 days, four daily rank points will thus be accumulated by each angler. The sum of the 4 daily rank points will represent the total rank points for the specific competition. The overall rank of an angler will be determined by the sum of the total rank points for the 3 most recent competitions. In summing the total rank points of the 3 most recent competitions, a factor of 20% will be applied to the total rank points of the competition held 2 years ago, 30% of the previous year’s competition and 50% of the most recent competition. An angler is then ranked according to his/her overall total rank point.
