The vision of South African Angling is to actively promote and grow the Sport of Shore Angling in South Africa and the World. The manner in which such vision is to be activated is by creating equal opportunities for all race and gender as is envisaged in the objectives of the South African Sport Confederation and Olympic Committee (SASCOC). Further enhancing such vision will be the creating and regulating of regular Amateur Tournaments / Championships both in South Africa and abroad to sharpen and enhance the skills of the anglers, thus taking the Sport of Shore Angling to a higher level.
The South African Shore Angling Association's mission statement is fully set out in paragraph 1.4 of the constitution and the recent amendment unanimously agreed upon at our AGM held on the 23rd July 2008 in Port Elizabeth is as follows:

The Executive Committee's primary objective has been to grow our membership numbers and improve the tarnished image that our sport had previously acquired wrongly or rightly. The methology employed has been to have open communication and transparency as can be seen by the content of our website, as well as capturing and marketing by way of media and television of our sport.
Regular monthly excom teleconferences help control, regulate and administer SASAA affairs. Recent fund raising drives ensure the payment of administration costs and a contribution towards teams representing us on an International Level.
